ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Decatur’s Pan African Festival is a celebration of Black culture and Black joy that engages the entire family and community in a safe setting. Festival-goers can expect a vibrant showcase of African, Caribbean, and African American music, dance, and art.

A diverse lineup of talented performers, including reggae, spoken word, AfroBeats, and hip-hop artists, will perform. The event also features cultural activities, art exhibitions, African cuisine, and vendors.

Attendees can also participate in a self-guided walking tour of the Beacon Hill community.

The Pan African Festival is produced by the Beacon Hill Black Alliance
for Human Rights in conjunction with the City of Decatur.
